PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

This is an orientation program designed to raise awareness on gender issues and concerns and to provide basic knowledge on promoting gender sensitivity and gender responsiveness for PGH personnel and the clients they serve.               

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of the program, the participants are expected to:

1.    Discuss the basic concepts of Gender Sensitivity;

2.    Discuss the basic concepts of the Anti-Sexual Harassment Code;

3.    Identify gender issues and concerns that may be encountered in the workplace;

4.    Formulate strategies to ensure gender sensitivity and gender responsiveness in dealing with clients and with co-workers; and,

5.  Value one’s role in the effective implementation of gender and development programs for the hospital.
